Meet the Judge: Chantelle Arneaud, CRO of Envestors

In our Meet the Judge interview series, we talk to Super Connect for Good’s judging cohort to learn more about them and their work in the Tech for Good space

As part of the Super Connect for Good Competition supported by Global Good, our Editor-in-Chief Kosta Mavroulakis caught up with one of its Regional Judges:

Please introduce yourself, your organisation & your role

Chantelle Arneaud has built her career working for high-growth companies across a range of industries including mining, retail, and finance. In 2018, Chantelle joined Envestors, which has a long history of helping start-up companies to get established and raise growth capital.

Envestors is focused on making the early-stage ecosystem easier to navigate for founders. Through their newly launched marketplace, Envestors are connecting the key players in the space – founders, advisors, investors, and accelerators.

What are some of the most pressing social issues that your company is working to address?

77% of start-ups fail to reach scale. While there is a lot of support available to founders, it is too difficult to access. Through its marketplace, Envestors is focused on connecting the early-stage ecosystem to make it easier for founders to find support programmes, meet other founders and get in front of investors and advisors.

How does your organisation support or work with startups and scaleups at present?

We support start-ups by giving them visibility so they can connect with advisors and investors. We provide investment readiness support to help entrepreneurs increase their chances of successfully raising capital and we provide founders with exposure to our network of 3000+ investors and advisors.

Why did you decide to support the Super Connect for Good 2023 Competition as a Judge, and what are you looking for from the applicants?

I really believe that the innovation that is going to help us deal with our most pressing issues – from climate change to an ageing population to mental well-being – will come from start-ups. I want to help the founders who are brave enough to tackle these challenges bring their solutions to market at scale.

I am looking for businesses that have clearly identified a real-world problem and who have developed a unique, scalable solution. On top of this, having a strong management team to deliver the business plan is critical.

What impact will technology have in creating a better future?

Start-ups and scaleups are vital to creating a better future. Innovation will come from the bottom up – not from the top down. Innovative businesses with scalable solutions that help us find better and faster ways of accomplishing our everyday tasks have the power to shape the future.
