Promoting tech for good innovators creating a positive impact

National HealthTech Series Returns to London to Showcase Innovators Transforming Dementia Care

The National HealthTech Series returned to London to showcase the innovators transforming the lives of those living with dementia.

The event was powered by Empact Ventures in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society Innovation Programme and supported by Global Good, hosted at Loughborough University London.

Established in 2024, the National HealthTech Series has rapidly expanded to host high-impact events. The London event featured an action-packed programme of ten tech startups and scaleups showcasing their innovation through pitches to investors and decision-makers in the health and social care sector to explore new collaborations. These included Execution Capital, Exponential Positive Impact Capital, Thim Ventures, Camphill Village Trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and more.

Innovators included Punto Health, Cognability, MaidaCare, Aether, DentaBlue, 6D Dementia, Circadacare, ReNeu, Kincern, Just Once, Learning Just Become Easier and OneCarbon.

Speakers at the event joined from organisations like the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub, the OVHcloud Startup Program, Inspire People, Cut Through Marketing and Above10x.

Beyond the panel discussions and pitches, the event featured:

  • Super Connect Expo featured experts from Accelerate Associates, Nomius and others
  • Super Connect Clinics with over pre-booked meetings providing business support with experts including Buoyancy Health Strategy and Darwin
  • Super Connections facilitated as warm email introductions to those participating on the day, with warm introductions before, during and after the event to better connect people

The event also marked a significant milestone as part of Empact Ventures’ 10th anniversary, honouring a decade of creating an aggregate social or economic impact in Tech for Good through its initiatives, events and super connections.

Kosta Mavroulakis, Founder & CEO of Empact Ventures and Editor-in-Chief of Global Good, commented:

“In the year that we celebrate our tenth anniversary at Empact Ventures, we are delighted to bring the National HealthTech Series back to London. By collaborating with The Alzheimer’s Society Innovation Programme, we are ensuring that innovators have the ‘Super Connections’ they need to turn potential into real impact.”
